While on duty to inspect the final stage of the construction of waste water lagoons in Salluit, Quebec, I got a chance to catch a glimpse of one of the last sealift of the year about to unload an asphalt plant for next summer road paving.
I couldn’t really focus on work until this light faded ….
Last stretch of our overnight tentative to reach Dry Bay, a remote mussel picking spot at about 30 km from the closest road, north of Kuujjuaq, Qc.
It was hard and we didn’t quite make it as the terrain wasn’t really bike friendly like we first thought. However, the emptiness and remoteness of the tundra is always a pleasant way to escape on a weekend and we simply had to give it a try.
